PDFW: Performance. Drawing. Film. Writing.
Exhibition Dates: March 4 - April 3, 2016

PDFW marks a new phase for the secret international art club that is DFW. With less focus on sponge painting and scratch-n-sniff sticker books, the group will be presenting works of performance, drawing, film and writing. The show will include pieces from members under the aliases ARA, ROSE, ISAAC, IVETE, PATRICK, JESSICA, JACOB, LILY QUAN, DAN, BEN, KEN, EMILIA, JESSE and ANDREW. Special for this exhibition, no longer satisfied with photocopy machine quality zines, the DFW ZINE CONTINGENT are creating a Risograph printed zine. The DFW group was formed some years ago in Pittsburgh, PA while installing an art show at the Carnegie International.

Established August 2013, Slow Culture WAS an independent art gallery and project space located in the historic Northeast Los Angeles neighborhood of Highland Park.  As of February 2016, we have relocated to Chinatown.  Over the past three years, our concept has evolved from our original intentions and we found a new home to pave way for our growth.  From visual artists to musicians to independent publishers, our goal is to provide a platform for our creative community to showcase their work.   Established as an art gallery, our new home will also provide artists with a workspace and studio to help foster new projects, workshops, and installations. The new gallery is located at 943 N. Hill St. Chinatown, Los Angeles.
